| The Amarillo Bird Dog Club is working to protect the skills of upland game bird hunting plus improving the breeds of all pointing dogs. We have a lease of 480 acres, and a private hunting permit. Quail are available year around, and when obtainable, we have pigeons. We hold (4)Field Trials per year, which are sanctioned by the National Shoot-To-Retrieve Association. The Amarillo Bird Dog Club is proud to be located in the West Texas Region. We have other club functions each year, most are held on the club grounds. We sponsor two (2) training seminars for all pointing breeds of dogs and our lecturer for these seminars is a Professional Dog Trainer. We also host a snake proofing clinic for all breeds. |
